Kite Information for Schools

Listed below are kite projects, resources and plans that are suitable for use in schools or other youth groups.  Additional plans will appear over time as we work on this area.

N.A.S.A. Excellent series of resources about kite flying, from first principles.  Includes the physics and aerodynamics.
A4 Diamond Kite Used as part of a World Kite Project this Diamond kite uses a sheet of A4 paper and BBQ sticks.
Kite Activities for the Classroom A series of kite related projects for primary and junior school children.
Kites in the Classroom Excellent educational resource for teachers from the Drachen Foundation.  Includes a number of kite plans designed for the classroom.
Kitesports in Schools The Kitesports in Schools initiative has come about as the result of the success of a number of school kite clubs that have been running over the past few years. This has led to the initiative being rolled out on a National basis and it is supported by the UK kite community.
